This offers you, the consumer, a number of advantages, but Klarna is still relatively unknown. There are also a few things to keep in mind. That's why we decided to write this article. If you're not yet familiar with Klarna but would like to know how to order and pay for flowers with it, read on!
What exactly is Klarna?
Klarna is a Swedish company that offers a smarter way to pay. You can think of Klarna as an alternative to iDeal or a credit card. It gives you more freedom when paying for your favourite flowers and plants because you can pay in various ways. You can also choose exactly how and when you pay!
Why use Klarna?
We used to use traditional payment methods ourselves and wondered why we should use Klarna. However, after trying it once, you quickly discover its advantages, and now we use it whenever possible. Klarna's advantages at a glance:

- Easy: No hassle with filling out forms or using debit cards.

- Buyer protection: With Klarna, your purchase is always guaranteed.
- There are no extra costs: Klarna is free to use (our webshop covers the payment fees).
How does paying with Klarna work?
Simple! When you go to the checkout, simply select Klarna. You can then choose the payment option that suits you best, after which you will be automatically redirected to the Klarna app on your phone. If you don't have the app on your phone, you will be redirected to a form where you can fill in your details. If you're paying with Klarna for the first time, you'll first need to create and activate an account via email. After that, you can use Klarna to confirm your orders, with the option to pay later. Super convenient!
What payment options are available with Klarna?
Klarna has become particularly well-known for offering customers the option to pay later. However, this is just one of the ways you can pay with Klarna. The company offers three payment methods:
- Direct: select 'Pay now' to settle your order immediately via direct debit using your IBAN.
- Installments: With this option, you pay your order in three equal, interest-free instalments via direct debit. You pay the first instalment immediately, the second after 30 days and the third after 60 days.
- Postpay: With this option, you don't pay anything immediately; you only have to pay after 30 days (or sooner, if you prefer). You can easily pay your outstanding invoice via the app or via a link in your email. This can be done via iDeal or a bank link in the app. Please note: pay on time to avoid reminder fees and collection costs 😉
