What exactly is a field bouquet?

A field bouquet is a lush bouquet of flowers that looks extra natural thanks to the special way of arranging it. Typical for a field bouquet is that the florist uses extra greenery, often in the form of springy elements such as grasses. By then also ensuring that each element of the bouquet has a different length, you get a very natural-looking bouquet of flowers. Popular flower types in a field bouquet include the snapdragon, the rose and gerbera , supplemented with seasonal flowers.

      Bouquets with fresh seasonal flowers

When you order from us, one of our florists will put together the bouquet with care. We only do this on the day of delivery, so that the recipient is assured of the very best fresh flowers. We guarantee that the bouquet will remain fresh for at least seven days! Depending on the season, you can choose to add different beautiful seasonal flowers to the field bouquet. Think of tulips , daffodils , peonies and sunflowers . This way you give the bouquet an even more natural twist.

      Pick-your-own bouquet or field bouquet?

Picked bouquets and field bouquets are often confused. As far as we are concerned, that is not a problem: what matters is that the recipient likes the bouquet. But for the purists, the difference between a field bouquet and a picking bouquet: a picking bouquet is often less full and exuberant than a field bouquet. A picking bouquet is also less wild and more pure. Where a field bouquet is really lush with lots of greenery and grasses, these are usually left out as much as possible in a picking bouquet. A picking bouquet is therefore simpler and the pure flowers really take center stage again.

      The most sustainable field bouquets

At De Duinroos we think it is important that the pleasure our flowers bring is not at the expense of the planet. We guarantee that all the flowers you order from De Duinroos will stay in your vase for at least seven days. And would you like to enjoy your field bouquet even longer? Then take good care of it. For example, always use clean water so that bacteria have no chance. Also, do not let the leaves hang in the water, as this will cause them to rot and the bacteria to get back into the water. Want to know more? See all our care tips here.
